Meteor Strikes Our Indiana Office
I was working out in our basement when my wife and daughter hurried downstairs, alarm clearly visible on their faces. "Dad! Dad! Have you been watching the news? The office has just been destroyed. Amazingly, someone happened to catch it on film."
Jordan held her iPhone up for me to see. I watched in horror as a meteor streaked out the sky, struck our little office building, and destroyed it utterly in a fireball of flame and smoke.
Suddenly, my girls couldn't keep a straight face anymore. They started laughing hysterically. Apparently Jordi had used some new iPhone application to insert special effects into a short video of our office that Jordi had taken. I have to admit that for a brief moment I had been completely fooled!
Payback is coming, girls... and when you least expect it. :-)

Stray Cat Joke
My friend Allison adopted a stray cat and took it to the vet to be neutered. "I’m about 90 percent certain he’s already been fixed," the vet said. "How can I be 100 percent sure?" Allison asked. "Watch to see if he does any ‘male’ things," answered the vet. "He already lies on the couch all day," Allison said. "If he starts hogging the remote, I’ll bring him in."
Deflation is Rolling Into Inflation
Despite the fact that the Federal Reserve injected trillions and trillions of dollars into the money supply, inflation hasn't been a problem. Why? Money was being destroyed faster than the Fed could create it (see my 2006 book, The Reverse Multiplier Effect - When Crushing Deflation Destroys America).
Recently, however, something important has changed. Banks are starting to make a few loans again. Money is no longer being destroyed by the multiplier effect working in reverse. Those newly-created trillions of dollars are finally working themselves into the money supply.
Tell your clients that now is the time to start snapping up rental homes. This is it, folks - the turning point!
This Historical Video is Soooo Interesting
In 1946, when the "greatest generation" came home from the war, some of them had to take up arms again in their own home town.
This event earned a historic marker and a made-for-TV movie.
This video clip was obviously created by some pro-NRA supporters, so we here at Blackburne & Sons take no position on political aims of the video; but if you're a history buff, you'll find this video to be fascinating. Residential Rates and LTV's
Blackburne & Sons will lend up to 70% LTV on purchases, provided the buyer puts down at least 20% of the purchase price in cash, his middle credit score is at least 680, and he has the capacity to repay. The seller can carry back a second mortgage for 10% of the sales price.
We will often lend up to 60% LTV on refinances, provided the borrower's credit score is at least 680, and he has the ability to repay. The term of most of our home loans is three years.
Our interest rate will vary from 8.9% to 12.9%, depending on the safety of the deal and the desirability of the property and neighborhood. Most of our home loans will be either 9.9% or 10.9%. We charge only 2 points on home loans, and we will go down to par, if necessary, to land a very safe and desirable loan.
